I went to visit Christine again, who’s in her 29 weeks of pregnancy! Her tummy was slightly bigger than it was at 24 weeks. Took some portraits for her and also for her beautiful daughters Ava and Milan. I thought housework will probably be hard for her to do at this point of her pregnancy since her tummy is probably quite heavy and it could be in her way to reach things. But, Christine seemed really fine with it and she even made the beds at home (as in changing bedsheets!!!) wouldn’t that be a little heavy-duty for a pregnant woman? I wouldn’t be able tell as I haven’t had that experience yet, but when I reach that point of my life – I should! Ava, Christine’s 3 year old daughter, was extremely welcoming and talkative on this day, probably she was more comfortable with me compared to my last visit. She is absolutely one adorable girl, and I’ve become her buddy for sure after this visit!
|me x babies| at the park
It’s been awhile since I last shared my work with you, so I am here again to post some photos that I have taken for my nieces and nephew when we visited the park.
I realized children grow really fast, and they are so much more knowledgeable than they were few months back. Every moments now become so precious, I should really capture more of their beautiful childhood in my photography!
P.S. This entry is for you – Victoria, Harry and Elizabeth.
Love,
Auntie Alice
|me x children portraiture| easter babies
In the past Easter long weekend, got a chance to do some portrait shots for the babies at home. On Good Friday, we visited the Lily Reserve down at Essendon, VIC. The view from the reserve is quite remarkable, and it had a tree there looked like one of those trees in Lord of the Rings. Interesting shaped tree without leaves.
Then, we went to a relatives’ house over at Greensborough which we had our chance to take some portraits for the babies.

Doesn’t she look like a model? lol
These kids are just so precious and they are truly photogenic!
| me x feeling | i’m lost without photography
Do you ever feel lost in direction without having something in your life? Maybe something like your iphone, your computer, your spouse, your kids or your parents? Well, I have! Been on photography school holiday for more than a month now. Ever since the holiday began and my christmas overseas trip ended, I have really been slacking on taking photographs. I thought to myself it’s okay – I need a break once in awhile too! But, I was totally wrong! During this time without having any photographs taken, I felt lost! I felt like there’s no purpose in life and no goal to achieve when photography is no longer a top priority in my life. There’s no focus in life when photography is temporarily absent in my life. Never thought photography could mean so much to me, but it’s proven that photography is just my thing. Without it, it’s just not me anymore!
Therefore, I promised myself to pick up my camera whenever I can. Even when there’s no job or project in line, I will still tell stories with my passion and record histories through photography!
Following are some photographs to share of my 3 precious nephew and nieces – maybe I could do a small introduction for all of you about them.
So this is Harry – he is now 19 months old. I would say he is a very cautious person – since young! When he just started to learn how to crawl and walk, he made sure the next steps are safe before he would make the move. He never really fell down from walking or crawling, and he even walked and crawled up and down the stairs with no problem! Well, of course now that he could run and jump everywhere – he does occasionally fall. By the way, as you could see from above photo, he cries – quite frequently!
Now, this is Victoria. She is Harry’s elder sister and she is now 3! If you followed my blog, you would have seen her 3rd birthday post awhile ago. Victoria is a very very smart 3 year old – at least many of the 3 year old that I have seen do not act as mature as she is. She is cheeky and cute! She is a very very active girl – always likes to run around the house all the time. Never want to recharge herself unless her battery is completely out! She is also a very creative girl – look at the drawing she did at her first day of day care! The drawing looks so artistic and she is a great potential to be a photographer too as she always likes to take photos with our phones and that’s why I gave her a film camera for her birthday!
Finally, this is Elizabeth! I am sure many of you have seen her photographs on my blog! This cutie pie is now at her 16th month! And at this age, she is able to repeat most of the words that we say to her. I thought that was pretty amazing, and most of the time, she can even express what she wants or doesn’t want by telling us directly with some keywords! Most of the kids I saw who are older can’t even do that yet – and every time she does it, I would be like ‘wowww’ in my mind!
These 3 babies are precious and I do love them dearly! Hopefully you enjoyed my stories!
| elizabeth x portraiture | future baby model
My sister-in-law and I are signing my baby niece up to be a STAR MODEL @ Pumpkin Patch – Spring 2009 Collection Catalogue. The requirement was to purchase a set of current spring collection from them and take photographs of the baby/child. And we did, I thought it would be a great opportunity for me to build up my portfolio or at least to practice my photography skill. So we went to the Royal Botanic Garden in Melbourne and did the shots! It was fun for me, but little Elizabeth looked tired from the sunshine. She is not fond of the sun shining on her face. =P
Overall, it went well, and took some great pics of Elizabeth!
| This was my favourite pic of the day! She looked so adorable and innocent. |
| Look at the little flower sitting on Elizabeth’s hair – She is like a little doll! |
| for some reason, i just love this tree! it has a very interesting look. |
hope you enjoy my blog, and i will keep updating with my latest work!
