I am not sure about you, but I think finding the perfect photography bag yet fashionable for women is like the hardest thing that could be ever achieved at the moment! I have been searching camera bags to my gears for daily uses for a long time, and I still haven’t yet found a perfect one!
Most camera bags out there are male dominant I would say. They are either too bulky / mostly are just black / designed mostly as a backpack or messenger bags. There are none that look more fashionable and feminine for women to use daily along with their chic outfit.
Right now, I own a Crumpler 8 million dollar home
This crumpler bag is serving me quite well for storing my camera gears, but it is too bulky for daily shooting or carrying while shooting.
As you could see the interior of this bag, you could store your laptop + your camera with lens on + more lenses + flash + other accessories safely while you are on the go!
So, I have been finding a camera bag that I could take everyday when I go out along with my camera which doesn’t shout ‘I’m a camera bag’.
Jessica Claire is one of the female photographers who started to design commercial camera bags with new yet practical ideas. She created Shootsac (which is a great bag by the way), but I feel it is more for carrying while you are in a shoot where you have to swap your lenses in and out and still carrying your essentials like cell phone, keys, wallet, etc.
The fun part of these Shootsac bags is that the bag cover is convertible. You can choose your own cover and even get a few to interchange when you have different outfit on!
This photo illustrates how the convertible covers work!
As you could see the interior of the Shootsac bag, you could store probably 2 lenses and a flash with some extra personal items. That’s it! It will surely make your life easier while you shoot, but if you like to take photos while you are travelling or on a day out, there is probably insufficient spaces for extra things.
There are other designers came out with some camera bags for women which look more like a fashionable purse, but still not my type though. Jill-e is one of the brands that has feminine photography bags. Certainly, it looks more for everyday wear to match with your different outfit.
You could see in the interior of the Jill-e bag is sufficient compartments for all of your different camera gears to fit in!
Emera is another brand that sells camera bags for women, which I thought was quite cute.
Besides Red, Emera also carries bags with PRINT and Black color
Well I almost wanted to get one of the Emera’s bag until I saw these Epiphanie Bags
Epiphanie has 3 very different camera bags, and I would say they are all very stylish to carry and practical to use for a professional photographers.
Which one do you like?
Brown Ginger, Blue Belle, or Red Lola?
This is Lola. Look how stylish it is? I wouldn’t have known it’s a camera bag if I wasn’t told so.
I have my eyes on this blue BELLE bag from Epiphanie. Look at the interior, they even have light green compartments. How cute and stylish!
If none of these are your type, maybe you could consider making your own. DIY photography bag – see this blog post from Digital Photography School Blog!
So after seeing all these bags… do you have something in mind yet?
