This is such an exciting news for me and hubby! Ever since I got pregnant, my body just got so exhausted all the time. As I have entered into my second trimester now, my body has become better in recovering from tiredness.

The past Monday was Chinese New Year, and this year is especially special for us as it is the year of Dragon and that our baby will be a dragon baby! Dragon year is supposed to be a lucky year and I am sure our baby will bring us luck for sure!

I truly recommend you all to go to Queenstown and have a snow experience. It’s definitely worth the trip!

Norway was the country we spent most of the days in during the whole cruise trip. The impression that Norway gave me is that it’s full of beautiful scenaries and landscape. Lots of mountains and fjords. Overall, this country seems so peaceful and comfortable for one to rest their mind in.

look at that! Aren’t those scenaries just breath-taking?

Besides all these beautiful natural environment, the most significant travel must-stop of Norway should be Nordkapp – The North Cape. This is where Mid-night sun or Northern lights could be observed – we were lucky enough to have travelled to this famous traveling spot. However, it was too foggy the day we went up to Nordkapp. Therefore, we can’t see the midnight sun. It was a pity but we can actually imagine how it was because throughout the cruise trip we spent most of the nights in the sun. Mr. sun wouldn’t set until 11pm or even later sometimes. That was quite an experience!

While traveling across Norway, I was able to see glacier for the first time! It was quite a journey to see that glacier, and not to mention it was raining cats and dogs on the way up! Luckily the rain stopped when we reached up there.

While traveling to Bergen, the 2nd largest city in Norway, we visited this church with an rather interesting interior.

I thought Norway would be like the safest city in the world – even the tour guide said most places are not really guarded in most of the time. However, we just can never take things for granted after the shooting and bombing incident happened in Oslo, Norway last month. I would like to send my condolences to the victim’s family. Stay strong!

The tragic incident just reminds me of Mark Twain’s quote:
“Life is short, Break the Rules. Forgive quickly, Kiss slowly. Love truly.
Laugh uncontrollably, and never regret anything that makes you smile.”

There are plenty of facilities open for all the passengers on board. For instance, there are swimming pools, tennis court, mini golf driving range, solarium, duty free shopping arcades, cyber cafe, spa and massage services, beauty salon, gym, dining area, restaurants, casino, theater, and lots of Bars!! It sounds like lots of things we could do on the cruise, but due to the cold weather that kicked in northern europe, all the outdoor activities became impossible for us! As we were stuck at the sea, life on board has become dull after few days.

Anyhow, I realized a cruise holiday is definitely not my thing. The cruise was actually filled with lots of elderly, and we were probably counted as the youngest bunch on the ship. Maybe as I grow a bit older later on, I would appreciate it more

Starting off with an 11 nights cruise trip. Before embarking into the cruise at Copenhagen, I thought it could be fun and a relaxing journey without any worries right? Yes, we weren’t supposed to get worried because it wasn’t that happening on the cruise. Who knew doing nothing could be that exhausting? Basically, we had set time and locations for our meals, and not much activities going on due to the cold weather – couldn’t swim or do any sporting activities like expected. There were 3 days – and I am talking about 3 full days! – when we were stuck at the sea before we got to reach our stops for excursions. So all we did was eat, sleep, and watch movies at our room. We could have gone to the casino, but the casino was not that interesting like it would be in Las Vegas In those days, what we could do was just waiting for the next day to come.

But even when we reached the stops for excursions. Our excursions mostly took half a day or the longest to be 7.5 hours, and we would be back on the ship right after and wait for the ship to sail away again! We thought the stops were kind of too short, but what could we do right?

I would never imagine myself being trapped in the sea for more than 10 days ever again! Sounds like a nightmare with lots of shaky nights!

But you know what, I still feel it was a good experience to be on a cruise, at least we know how’s it like. And what to expect, IF we EVER going to go on one again in the future. Well – I kind of doubt that would happen though… maybe when we are in our 50s?

Best of all, it was still good that we were away from work for awhile. Just to relax our mind from stress and the routine life we always have.

Here are some photos taken before we embarked to the cruise at Copenhagen, Denmark. Copenhagen is probably the city with the most cyclists – at least among the cities where I have been previously. Seriously, everywhere is parked with lots of bicycles. One of the reasons for citizens to ride on bikes is that public transportation is really expensive. So they think it is more economical to ride on bikes, and they probably realized that it is more environmentally friendly as well.

The famous mermaid statue in Copenhagen – not sure what’s so nice about it but you gotta see it to say that you have been to Copenhagen.

I, of course, do not literally want to get bucket water splashed in my face. But I do wish I could be as refreshen as this little strawberry in the photo that I took last night.

It’s getting really cold here in Melbourne, and it makes me just want to be away from work and sneak under my comforter for a mini-hibernation. It’s bad incentive for my work – I know! What to do? I will keep you updated with my work which I should get back on that track soon.

At the mean time, take care everyone!!

As many of you should be aware of the situation in Japan – the quake and tsunami happened not long ago. I am still in total shock on this incident, watching how scary it was in the airport and other indoor area when the quake happened, and how fast the water
floods into the inner part of Japan. I just hope that our friends in Japan will
stay strong together while confronting the difficult times.

But, one thing is truly remarkable about the Japanese community is that they are really well-prepared for earthquakes and other natural disaster, which has put the number of deaths, injuries, and damages to the minimal.

Stay strong, Japan. You will be blessed by all of us from all around the world.

Helen is my cousin and she met Quentin in Perth while studying at UWA. They asked for my photography service to take some pre-wedding portraits for them in where they met each other. Helen and Quentin will be moving back to Sabah, Malaysia – where Quentin was originally from at the end of this month. I will surely miss them dearly, and no matter how much I don’t want them to leave Australia, I will still wish them the best of luck in the upcoming journey together in a new place.

Jessica is my dear friend since elementary school. I have known her for 18 years i think. lol wow, that’s a really long time. She is probably the only mate who I kept contact with for the longest! Jessica wanted to take some portraits with Anthony her boyfriend for years who she met while studying in Melbourne. So here they are!
